Alex says: one of the most peaceful places to spend my time is on my horse because it’s only him and I, free from the pressures of life. After my dad’s passing when I was 11 my mom knew I needed support and started taking me to riding lessons. Over the last 8 years riding has been my therapy and if I could I would spend 7 days a week at the barn. Not only do I have a horse, I also have birds, a hamster, a cat and a dog. Making my way to vet med was only a natural path for me. I’m not sure what the future holds, but I know animals will always be part of my life. I’m excited to continue learning about the best health care practices for pets and understanding different treatment plans. There is so much to know in veterinary medicine and any knowledge I can gain will only further my connection with my pets.
